Our Name Change

Dear Community Partner-

I am writing to let you know about an exciting change at our organization. We are happy to announce that, as of November 15th, the Nevada-Sierra Regional IHSS Public Authority is changing its name to the Nevada-Sierra Connecting Point Public Authority, to be known informally as Connecting Point.

Connecting Point is the culmination of years of growth and change in our organization. Over the last five years we have built a diverse collection of programs and services that touch many aspects of people’s lives. As we continue to grow, we want to be sure that we have a name that can grow with us.

Connection defines our work. Whether we’re matching IHSS consumers with home care providers, uniting Nevada County CalWORKs job seekers with local employers, or linking 211 Nevada County callers to the community resources they need, our goal is to support community members in making connections that enhance their lives.

We feel like we finally have a name that explains who we are and what we do.

If you have any questions about our name change (or about who we are and what we do), please feel free to give me a call at 530-274-5601.

And stay tuned for news about our move to 208 Sutton Way in January . . .

Thank you!

Ann Guerra
