The State of California’s In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program pays caregivers to assist seniors and people with disabilities to live safely in their own homes.
Who is eligible to receive IHSS home care services?
IHSS Consumers must be California residents with Medi-Cal eligibility who live in their home or an abode of their own choosing (not a hospital or care facility), and must apply through their county’s Adult Services or Social Services department for a Health Care Certification.
Who can become an IHSS caregiver?
Become a paid IHSS Provider to work for someone you know, like a friend or family member, or join the IHSS registry to be mutually matched with a client based on availability, location, skills, and comfort level.
